Suggest Treatment For Cough

hi this is raji from kerala. i have 61/2 yrs old boy who is having allergy cough from 21/2 yrs. he gets this atleast 3 to 4 times in an year and after giving antibiotics only the cough goes. after the x ray examination we found that he has got adenoid problem. last year it triggered so much that after continuous nebulisation and after giving few doses of codaine linctus it came down. we were in bangalore for long time and his cough triggers when the winter starts. now from 2 months we are in kerala. and now from one week he is having bad cough and the ent doctor suggested claribid 250 mg twice a day but the cough has not come down fully. please doctor what do u suggest

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, this could be allergic cough and this does not need any vigorous treatment and not the antibiotic and nebulizer at all this would some time worse the condition, in my opinion the condition can be treated with Tab Loratidine with Pseudoephedrine (dose need to be adjusted according to weight) along with this try pure honey prior to bed with just Luke worm water, this would be much better than the medicine, take care.
