Suggest Treatment For Cracked Ribs And Numbness In The Fingers

I think I cracked a couple of ribs on the lower left side of my chest by riding a roller coaster (I am a 48 yr old white male). This was on Thursday of last week. Today, as I was driving home from work - a 40 minute commute - the tips of the fingers of both hands went numb and my hands were cold to the touch. That lasted for about two hours. How concerned should I be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is unlikely be related to rib fracture. If symptoms persists better to consult a thoracic surgeon and plan for a CT thorax to rule out possible causes like nerve compression by misplaced fragments
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
