Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is 47 years old. Was diagnosed with Barret s Esophagus in 2008. And has had lower abdominale cramping for at least the last three years. Since December he has been having periods of time when he has terrible back pain. Left flank and tail bone. Nausea, vomiting, and massive bloody stools. Ranging from bright red to dark red, with large blood clots. He had a heart attack in August of last year and is on Plavix. He is also drinking alcohol. What could the possible causes of his problems be? Stomach? Intestinal? Medication?
it could be the effect of alcohol both on stomach and intestine .. since he had an attack last year ... it is absolutely prohibited to drink alcohol ... as it aggravate the heart condition too.. he will become anemic too ... i kindly request you to stop him from drinking alcohol .. medications for now .. T. pan 40 mg once a day before food for 2 weeks ... avoid spice and oily foods too
