Suggest Treatment For Cramps On The Leg Post Epidural

I had an epidural on my tailbone Aug 9. I felt great for several days. I started to get a cramp I m my right buttock. Now it s in my right leg when I try to stand up straight and I can barely walk. Should I wait til morning and call the Dr, or is this something that could be serious?

Hello,

I can understand that you are having residual anaesthesia after having epidural days back. For cramps, you can use Etoricoxib or any painkiller that is available with you. Some thermal massage can also give you relief. You can wait till morning to get an appointment with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
