I have had some pain in my elbow during weight lifting but wore a sleeve when I benched pressed. today was rest and really did no work out, Have sharp pain in my forearm its stiff and when I straighten my arm out get quite a bit of pain almost like a cramp
You have forearm pain due to weight lifting. Now you are also experiencing pain in the elbow. You are suggested to stop doing workouts for a couple of days. Give your elbow and forearm rest. It's hard for any damaged area to heal if it is continuously being put under exercise and pressure. You can take pain relieving medications like Acetaminophen or Combiflam, one SOS when needed. Elbow pain is usually a result of overuse, repetitive motions or tendon sprains. Icing can give relieve.
To ease discomfort, wrap an elastic bandage around the area or use a soft brace. Forearm tendonitis causes pain due to damage to the tendons that bend the wrist toward the palm. Once the pain and swelling reduces you can do gentle forearm stretch exercises. However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP / orthopedic. Get imaging tests done so that the treatment can be started at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
