Suggest Treatment For Cricoarytenoideus

I have had a sore throat for 4 wks now. Rapid strep was neg. I have a feeling of something stuck in my throat on the left side. I hurts mostly when I speak and sometimes when I swallowing. Saw my family practitioner and he said it was cricoarytinoiditis. But only find info on cricoarytinoid arthritis. Scheduled to see ENT in month, but not sure what to do for the pain in the mean time?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Though definite evaluation with ENT is must, following baseline guidelines will help you to handle the pain meanwhile period:
- Gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil 3 times day
- Avoiding intake of cold drinks, dairy products, chilled water, ice cream
- Prefer easily palatable food stuffs
- Ginger and tulsi help with excellent Ayurvedic properties
- Tablet as ibuprofen with acetaminophen after meals if no history of drug sensitivity

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
