Suggest Treatment For Curing Acne In Chest

Hello. I am a male, 20 years old, 134 lbs, 5'5 in height, and I have a history of acne. I have many bumps on my chest that have remained there for over a year, and I can't seem to get them to disappear (with over-the-counter acne solutions and prescription drugs). Every month or so, some of those bumps grow out of no where and become filled with pus and blood. I desperately need the acne on my chest to disappear!

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query acne on the chest over a year which are filled with pus and blood because of clogged pore of sebaceous gland and accumulation of sebum in them as chest has abundance of sebaceous glands. I would suggest you to start with Isotretinoin as that is the drug of choice. Drink plenty of water and maintain hygiene of area. Apply betnovate on acne twice a day for 2-3 days. You should start with oral antibiotics such as Azithrmycin 500 mg. If condition doesn't start getting better in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment. Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotic course clindamycin or isoteritenoin.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
