Suggest Treatment For Cyst Like Bump In Mouth With Pain In Eating
Hi, This morning I was having a cup of coffee and felt a sudden sharp pain in my mouth on my cheek. It felt like a canker (which I haven t had in 20 years mind you) so I looked in the mirror and observed a cyst-like bump (7-8mm) form before my eyes! It is firm to the touch and protrudes into my mouth. It is extremely painful and it throbs. There is a small (less than 1 mm) darker colored dot on the foremost part of this bump. Eating or drinking cause the pain to temporarily increase. What is this? John
The swelling can be due to an infected mucus cyst , which is very common in the mouth specially on the buccal surface (cheeks ) , you may need to get it surgically drained and start on a short course of antibiotics.please meet your doctor for the same.
thanks
