Suggest Treatment For Dandruff Causing Itchy Scalp And Hair Loss

Hello Doctor.my name is Rashi and i am 18yrs old. i have dandruff and there are moderate signs of it.but it's causing me problem and my scalp is itchy too that is leading to hair falls.please help.what do i do.which shampoo do i use.
i will be very thankful to you.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis and the symptoms of itchy scalp, dandruff and hair fall are all due to it..
I would suggest you to consult a Trichologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical examination and microscopic examination of the scrapings from the scalp can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to wash you scalp with shampoo containing Ketoconazole, Coal tar, sulfide, zinc, selenium and Salicylic acid..
You can massage the scalp with steroid lotion..
You should wash the scalp every alternate day..
Keep the scalp dry and clean..
