General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the hyper pigmentation do reveal underlying disturbances with the homeostasis of the melanin pigment in the dermis layers of the skin. The striking most common reason is being Insulin resistance and must be worked at best possible pace. Treatment guidelines:
- Keep the parts clean with antiseptic liquid
- Local application of turmeric paste 3-4 times a day
- Avoid exposure to high intensity sunlight for long period of times
- Use of sun screen lotion wisely
- Control of blood sugar with anti diabetic or Insulin

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
