Suggest Treatment For Debilitating Headaches And Fainting Feeling When Diagnosed With Hypoglycemia

Hi. I m a 34 year old female and I have debilitating headaches. After doing some strenuous activity about 10 days ago a headache came on and I felt like I was going to pass out. I have hypoglycaemia too and that seemed to be part of it but I ve had constant headaches since then. The muscles in my neck and upper back are very tight and full of knots but I m also very irritable. I clench my teeth all the time too, I m 100 lbs over weight. I m actually 245 lbs and I m only 5 ft tall. I have very large breast. But I feel irritability really badly and it s not PMS as I rarely have a period. Sometimes I feel foggy. Could it be my brain? A tumor? Aneurism?

Hi,

1. Going by your history and symptoms it is wise to consult either with a Medicine specialist/Neurosurgeon or Endocrinologist since it requires a meticulous examination to first arrive at a differential diagnosis and further with investigations one can arrive at a provisional diagnosis.

2. Hypoglycemia is a symptom and not a disease, so we have to find out the root cause of the same since it can vary from being reactive hypoglycemia to any metabolic disorder affecting the heart, liver, or kidneys.

3. As you are overweight with short height one has to go for a Thyroid function test [TFT], and a large breast apart from having a small height could be due to raised Prolactin level.

4. As described, you rarely have a period' could be secondary Amenorrhea for which one has to go for hormonal studies along with CT/MRI Imaging, thus in best interest it is wise to check with your GP, who might well refer you accordingly to a specific consultant

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Munish Sood, Ayurveda Specialist
