Hello and welcome to HCM,
The age of menopause varies among healthy females.
However, you can expect menopause at the age of 50.
During the peri-menopausal period the
menstruation does not stop abruptly but it is characterized by decrease in amount and frequency of menstruation.
However, resuming menstruation once it has stopped is of concern.
This resumption of menstruation could be due to endometrial growth or
endometrial cancer.
I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment, pelvic
ultrasound and
endometrial biopsy.
Endometrial biopsy will determine the status of endometrial glands and stroma.
In case endometrial biopsy shows
hyperplasia or cancer, removal of uterus is the best option.
Thanks and take care
