Suggest Treatment For Dengue In An Elderly Person

hello doctor, my father is 60 years old , has high sugar levek ( 250 ; fasting) and had been diagnosed with dengue 5 days ago .today is the 6th day. his temperature came down to normal on 3rd day. his platelet count from 1st to 5th day are 1.89, 1.20 , 0.90, 1.20 and 1.05 respectively. though since ladt 2 days his feeling better n regaining his normal diet slowly. i would like to that is there anything to worry about since there was a fluctuation of platelet count in last two days? thank you in advance

Hi,

Treatment for Dengue Fever. There is no specific medicine to treat dengue infection. If you think you may have dengue fever, you should use pain relievers with acetaminophen and avoid medicines with aspirin, which could worsen bleeding. You should also rest, drink plenty of fluids, and see your doctor.
