Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I feel as though I have just had a break down, I am seem better today after I have taken some colonapam My life is just to the max, I have made some adjustments more exercise and such but can not stop my mind from running with all issues of my life. Do you have other ideas to help me through this. Thanks Joyce
If you have these symptoms for more than 2 weeks then an SSRI drug (such as citalopram or sertraline) can be started to help with the symptoms. I would avoid clonazepam as this is a benzodiazepine and may cause addiction. You should not use it more than a week.
Also, counseling may be recommended to help you control your thoughts and deal with your fears. Try to avoid any energy drinks, alcohol, coffee, smoking, etc.
I hope this is helpful and answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
