Hi, I was having all kinds of billing problems with my Psychiatrist of 8 years since I went on Medicare in July 2012. I went on disability due to a nerve disease that I have called Peripheral Neuropathy. I went to all the Dr.s when my feet started burning in 2009. In 2010 my neurologist said I had Tarsel Tunnel Syndrome and that I would need releases on both of my feet. In May 2010 I could hardly walk and in the next three months I had surgery on each of my feet. The surgery did not work. At this point I had to find a new neurologist. I was diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy. I had a temporary and then a permanent Spinal Stimulator put in behind the nerves of my spinal chord. This is just my background on how I got to go on Medicare. As I stated in the beginning I m looking for a Dr. who specializes in Addiction Psychiatry. I was prescribed Xanax for my anxiety as well as Zolpidem to help me sleep. I had a death in my family and I was very close to her in April. I have been to two different psychiatrists and both experiences were horrible!! One would not treat me and said I needed re-hab based on the medicines I listed on my profile form. I m 45 and have been struggling for months. I live in Darien, IL and don t know what to do as I need a Dr. to monitor my meds. I have suffered from depression and anxiety since I was 19 and have never gone this long without seeing a psychiatrist!! Can you help!!!!
