Suggest Treatment For Depression Problems

I am severely depressed and even sometimes think of suicide since having a complete hysterectomy about a month ago. Nobody seems to understand, even a psychologist with whom I counsel. I am tempted to cut her out of my life, withdraw and become a hermit. I blame myself for this therapy gone bad , since she didn t hate me initially. Also, the thought of having no uterus now is absolutely chilling to me!

Hello,

Having suicidal thoughts is an indication that you need help. Your depression does not seem to be in control with the counseling and oral tablets may be needed.

It is best to combine both counseling and SSRI drugs for depression. These drugs have to be taken daily and you will need regular checks with the doctor while you use them. Some examples of such drugs are citalopram, sertraline, escitalopram, etc.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
