Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You have depressive illness and have been given paroxetine 37.5 mg controlled release tablet for that. The drug has resulted in improvement but you have started having sexual side effects especially erectile dysfunction. Paroxetine is a SSRI drug and it is known to cause sexual side effects but erectile dysfunction is not a common side effect. Bupropion is free of sexual side effects so can prove useful, but it doesnt prevent the sexual side effects. To reduce erectile dysfunctions associated with anti-depressants usually drugs like SILDENAFIL, TADALAFIL etc are advised. Other drugs like YOHIMBIN can also prove useful. I would advise you to consult your psychiatrist for these medicines.
If problem persist then change of antidepressant to other drugs like Trazodon, Mirtazapine can be done. Both of these drugs are free of serious sexual side effects and infact help to improve erection. Discuss your psychiatrist for prescription.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
