Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why would a patient not seizure ie. unresponsive to the shock treatment? I have tried everything to treat my severe depression and ECT was the last resort. I didn t respond to the treatment and when there was a response (it was much lower than would my doctor would like to see). Is there any other treatments for depression. I have a phyciatrist, a councillor, social worker, a phycologist and have been unresponsive to medication. I also have taken a mindfulness practice you once or twice a day, I am very physically active (run, spin class, cycling, swimming etc.).
