Suggest Treatment For Dermatitis Throughout Body Caused Due To Food Allergy

I have dermatitis that is getting worse on my scalp, face, trunk, arms, legs, everywhere. I use a prescription steroid ointment at night. I m only supposed to use it 2 times a week but I m using it more and it s not controlling it. I had blood drawn allergy testing done 3 months ago by a company called ALCAT in FL. It came back that I am allergic to 74 foods. I am very concerned about getting the right nutrition. I like my dermatologist very much but it is under Kaiser insurance and I think they are limited. I ve considered going outside of my insurance. Any suggestions? This has been going on for 4 years. I am 68 years old.Thank you for your help,Mary

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dermatitis throughout body caused due to food allergy. Well food allergy is an immune system reaction that occurs soon after eating a certain food. In some people, a food allergy can cause severe symptoms or even a life-threatening reaction known as anaphylaxis. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order skin test , elimination diet , blood test or oral food challenge. Doctor may prescribe omalizumab or oral immunotherapy . For now avoid the most common sources of food allergens: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, soy and wheat and take anti histamine like zyrtec.
