Suggest Treatment For Dermatofibroma

I am a twenty seven year old female, 5 7 and 160 lbs. A year ago I developed what a doctor diagnosed as a dermatofibroma. Today it popped as a pimple would and I squeezed out a good amount of white gooey stuff (?). Should I be worried? Was it not a dermatofibroma? How do I take care of it?

Hi.
As per your case history of dermatofibroma, my treatment advice is -
1. The fluid popping out may be due to infection in the lesion.
2. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
4. Once the infection subsides you can go for surgical removal of the lesion.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
MBBS, DDVL.
