Suggest Treatment For Detached Retinas

Okay. here goes. I have had both retinas detach in both eyes and have had them repaired with a scleral buckle. I also had a epiretinal membrane removed in the right eye. I have also had lens implants in both eyes, one for distance and one for close. Because I had Lasik years ago, my doctor had to guess what the corrections were. As it is now, I am -1.50 in my dominate eye and about -3.25 in my other eye. Due to the membrane removal and retina reattachment, the retina in my close distance has stretched and everything appears taller and skinnier in that eye versus the other eye. Also the fact that the eye is myopic, the image through glasses is also different. During my last eye doctor visit, he put a 2.0 in prism in the distance eye and a -2.0 prism in the close eye. I am having a terrible time adapting to these new lenses (this was the second set after the first were even worse). I am thinking that the problem is that my close vision non-dominate eye is seeing better than my dominate eye and this is causing problems due to the different images I am getting. I wonder if it would help if my close distance eye could be set for approximately the same correction as the other eye, if this would help reconcile the images a little. Or, would I be better off, if the correction in the non-dominate eye were backed off a little so that I see mostly with the dominate eye? Any idea?
