Suggest Treatment For Diaper Rash Causing Severe Itching In An Infant

My 11 month old is getting over a diaper rash, which is difficult because she scratches at the area whenever we change her or bath her. We have to be super vigilant to hold back her hands, but she is successful enough that it is taking a while to heal. Today during her bath when she scratched it brok the skin. I put some hydrogen peroxide on it followed by balmex. When I changed her later and wiped her with a sensitive wipe, the scratched area still looked bright white like fresh balmex. Should I be concerned? Could it be yeast? It was less than 2 hours between the bath and the change.

Hi,

Avoid using diaper at night. Use wipes before going to bed. This happens due to full time usage of diaper.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
