General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have been prescribed an anti-spasmodic drug that is specifically used for irritable bowel syndrome.

It will not worsen the peptic ulcer.
So it can be taken after consultation with your doctor.

You can be prescribed antacid as well for your peptic ulcer.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
