Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Blood Clots During Stools

Hi. I was sitting down before dinner and got a really bad stomach cramp so I rushed to the bathroom and had diarrhea but when I wiped it was really bloody and I looked in the toilet and there was a blood clot. I was fine after for about 45 mins then the cramp came back with more bleeding and clots. Is this something I should be worried about and go to the hospital or can it wait for a doctors appointment?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of diarrhea and blood clots during stools . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastroenteritis , food allergies , lactose intolerance , giardiasis , irritable bowel syndrome or appendicitis. Need not to worry. For now eat light and non spicy , take antacid after every meal, drink plenty of water and take light walk after every meal. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order ultrasound , endoscopy or stool test. Doctor may prescribe omeprazole , lopramide , ornidazole or albendazole. You should take small and frequent meals and avoid taking large meals at at time.
