My 14 year old daughter has been having diarrhea and has been throwing up since about 7 this morning. She cannot keep down any clear fluids such as ginger ale or water, she will puke, drink a little bit, and then like clockwork 30 minutes later she s puking and having diarrhea in the restroom. What do I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that she is having acute gastro-enteritis producing loose motions and vomiting.
Give him anti-emetic medicine like ondem and do not give anything for an hour so that medicine will retain and will give its effect.
After vomiting stops , give him oflox TZ for loose motions.
Give him plenty of water, electrolytes and ORS liquid after vomiting stops to prevent dehydration.
If vomiting does not stop then take her to ER, she might require IV medicines and drip.
Ok and take care.
