Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea In An Elderly Person

My 87 y/o parent has been prescribed megace after bowel resection surgery . He gas been on it about 2weejs . His appetite has improved, but his stools have been very loose, looser than they have been recently and he has had trouble sleeping. He is going to the bathroom almost every hour and has had a few accidents. Could megace be the culprit?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, drug could be the reason for the loose stool, but it is nothing to worry but the only part is dehydration if this does not cause the dehydration then it is nothing to worry stool binding agent can be tried and it advisable to discuss this with surgeon hope this information helps.
