Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea Post Partial Knee Replacement

I am 42 and had a partial knee replacement 5 days ago. I was up all night last night with diarrheah and it has continued all day along with nausea. I am on Norco every 5 hours and aspirin, but that is it. Should I be worried or can I expect this to resolve on its own?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HELLO,
I can understand your concern.
this appears to be mostly antibiotic induced diarrhoea. (you might have been prescribed antibiotics post surgery)
donot worry, keep your self hydrated.
drink ors at regular intervals.
a probiotic like tab darolac is also advised.
if the frequency of stools is more i would also suggest tab redotil100mg(raececodrotil) twice daily. this will help in hardening of the loose stools.
the most important thing in the management is proper hydration. dehydration might lead to electrolytic imbalance.
hope i have answered your concerns.
feel free to ask further queries.
thanks for choosing HCM.
