Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Phlegm Removal During Cough When With PSP
My mother suffers from PSP which progressive supra nuclear palsy. She has had this for 8 years and from last week she has been unable to release the phlegm from a cough. She has not been able to sleep for two nights. She sleeps during the day . The GP has given her Cepodem 200 mg and Asthakind syrup. She probably needs the phlegm removed at a hospital. Please advise Ritak
The phlegm could be a problem in PSP, you can use mucus aspirator to remove phlegm or use medicine to thin them which can be removed by patient herself. Other wise removing the phlegm by nurse in hospital is another option
