i have injured my throat. it is very difficult to swallow anything. it feels like i have dislocated something in the right side of my throat just before or to the right of my tonsils. i am 61 yo, caucasion in relatively reasonable health. what is this and can anything be done for it?
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The difficulty in swallowing can be because of the trauma which might have resulted in ulcer over the mucosa. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use topical anesthetic like lignocaine and topical analgesics like choline salicylate. You can do saline gargling. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
