Suggest Treatment For Discoloration Of Toe Nail

my husband s great toe nail half of it has turned black without any known injury. The area around the bottom part of the toe nail is red, and the other part of the nail is discolored. looks like it is going to turn black. this is a sudden onset please advise

Hi,

Probably your husband has got onychomycosis with pseudomonas infection of nail. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. After thorough examination and investigation like KOH test for fungus. .. He might give antifungal like itroconazole or ketoconazole along with antibiotics. Local application of clotrimazole solution may be done. After few months to a year, he might get benefit. I hope you got my answer.
