Suggest Treatment For Discolorations And Cramps When Diagnosed With Lymphedema

I have had Lymphedema for over 7 years treated years ago with compression wraps and then support stockings. It went away. I never had surgery or cancer it just happened. Now it has recurred in my lower extremity with extreme pitting and discoloration, pain in my calf and now my other leg is starting. Gives me debilitating cramping and can hardly walk. YYYY@YYYY

Radiation Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is very important to get to the bottom of your lymphedema and find out the root cause. It is important you show it to your local doctor preferably a surgeon, who evaluates and rules out the important causes such as deep vein thrombosis, any hidden malignancy and then takes things further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Jatin Bhatia, Radiation Oncologist
