Suggest Treatment For Discolored Keloid Between Earlobe And Jaw Line
Have a keloid (think that s what it is) on left side of my face, between my earlobe and jaw line. Colour is much darker than my skin and it s impossible to cover with makeup. Want to get it removed and hope it will not return, but wonder where I can go to do this in Harrisonburg, VA?
Understanding your concern. As per your query discolored keloid between earlobe and jaw line which is because of excessive formation of scar and discoloration is caused due to-deoxygenated hemoglobin within the keloid. I would suggest you to take steroid injections as it will break down collagen in scar and they will get back to normal. Injections of triamcinolone acetonide is very effective for this. Take combination of antibiotics and analgesics. Maintain proper cleanliness of the area and maintain skin tone. I would suggest you to visit general surgeon once and get it examined. Chemical cauterization or laser treatment is recommended for this. You can go for surgical removal as well. You should visit dermatologist as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
