Suggest Treatment For Displacement Of The Mirena IUD In The Vagina

I went to pee and could see my Mirena IUD hanging outside of my vagina. The answers on here are unclear and do not seem to address the question: Is my IUD out of place if I can visibly see the strings? Is this normal if the doctor did not cut the strings?

Hi,

Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

A vaginal examination is required. If the IUD is displaced, it has to be removed and reinserted.
