Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Headache After Injury

I m a 29 year old male. I fell at work tonight and landed directly on my knee. It was quite painful, and I became quite disoriented and dizzy for a moment. I thought I was going to pass out. Is that something to be concerned about? also, i seem to have a headache now. The knee doesn t hurt right now though. It was a couple hours ago.

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern I would like to explain that the symptoms you have may be related to a low blood pressure as a response to the pain (an autonomic reflex).

The most important fact is that you did not hurt your head. .

I recommend you to relax and take some acetaminophen or ibuprofen for the pain. I would also advise you to monitor your blood pressure.

If you have problems moving your knee I recommend you to consult with the orthopedist and perform an xray of the join.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Aida
