Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a headache for 6 days now, none stop. Ive taken all sorts of over the counter meds and nothing helps not even subsided. I don t have fever or stiffness of the neck. I go to sleep with it and wake up with it. But when I wake up it hurts the worst and I be dizzy but throughout day I m not dizzy but still have the pain. Please help
There can be underlying migraine or cluster headache responsible for the continuous headache for hours together over a period of days. I would recommend consultation with an expert physician for detailed systemic review and arrive at a diagnosis for curing it. Till that time, following measures will help you: - Drink more liquids - Maintain proper sleep cycle of 7-8 hours - Avoid use of long telephonic talk, use of computers and other devices requiring constant staining at eyes - Eye splashing with cold water 3-4 times a day
- Do meditations and YOGA - Relaxation techniques - Avoid smoking, alcohol if consuming - Tablet of Tramadol hydrochloride with acetaminophen or Baclofen after meals if no history of drug sensitivity
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
