Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Lack Of Appetite In An Elderly Person

my father who is 73 has ben collapsing a lot lately,will be walking and all of a sudden hes on the floor,he says his legs justgo out.He also is dizzy a lot has no appetite his arms also shake a lot I have taken to him to many docters and the latest a neurologist who says he has brain shrinkage and probally dementia and in a few mnths will do more test.I just don t think these symptoms fit that

Hi,

Lack of appetite is less likely related to brain shrinkage and dementia unless there is gross involvement of satiety or appetite center of the brain.

Additional work up with intestine infection or other issues which can give altered BP and lack of appetite should also be evaluated. Primary treatment with oral rehydration salt is best.
