Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Lightheadedness

I was prescribed potassium yesterday and instructed to take it immediately at 3:00, another tablet with dinner and then again this morning with breakfast. Going forward, twice a day, breakfast and dinner. I already take lisinopril, 1 tablet daily of 20/25 with HCTZ and one table daile of 10 mg. vI have been dizzy and lightheaded today. When I ate lunch today, the symptoms went away. What do you think?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dizziness and lightheadedness . Well there can be many reasons for headache and dizziness like low blood glucose or iron level , benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) , infection , meniere's disease , migraine , neurological , inner ear infection and due to certain medicines such as blood pressure medicines or anti depressants . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , hearing test , rotatory chair test and take history to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics like gentamycin along with physical therapy and vestibular therapy . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist . Doing meditation will help alot.
