Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Metallic Taste In Mouth
I ve been really dizzy all week, with an occasional metallic and/or bitter taste in my mouth. I ve also had a continuous headache. I work around chemicals and thought that might be the culprit, but the symptoms come and go when I m not around the chemicals for a period of time. The chemicals I m exposed to are methyl ethyl ketone, acetone, polyester resin, ethyl acetate.

Dizziness can be of three varieties:
- Feeling dizzy can be sort of weakness, blackout or so.
- Self rotation.
- Surroundings rotated.
- Can be instigated or enhanced by change of position, getting up, rotation of head over shoulder.
Please check for all these and consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation.
Investigations as directed by the cause:
- MRI of ears or Neck or brain.
- Any general disease like hypertension, thyroid problems.
All these things together will help to know the exact cause and thus allow proper management.
Metallic taste can be due to disease that has caused dizziness too. This will improve once the disease is under control. Or can be due to contact with chemicals as you have mentioned like methyl ethyl ketone, acetone, polyester resin, ethyl acetate.
