Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Neck Pain After Discontinuing Diabetes Medication

I recently was having a problem with my diabetic medicine so I stopped it suddenly. My sugar went up to 404 and I had dizziness and pain in my neck. I have started other medicine now and I am working on getting it down but it only went down to 250 so far and I still have dizziness and pain in my neck. Is the pain from my high sugar?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The dizziness may be related to the high blood sugars but not likely the pain though persons may experience conditions differently.

Pain in the neck may also be due to : (1) spasm of the muscles in the neck (2) tension headaches (3) arthritis

Using pain killers may help but if there is no improvement then you should see your doctor for an assessment.

Continue the medication along with diet changes and activity to help control your blood sugar.
If there is no control then you may need additional medication.

I hope this helps
