Suggest Treatment For Dizziness, Nausea, Sporadic Heart Palpitations And Tachycardia
Hello, My name is Jihan. I am 20 years old and I am from Palestine. I have been experiencing periods of palpitations and tachycardia. I am so thin around 42 kg and my hemoglobin level is 10.5 I have seen a cardiologist and done echocardiogram but the results were normal. Everytime I bath I get dizzy and nauseated and my heart rate increases. Whenever I am standing or walking for short periods I get tachycardia. Sometimes when I am at rest my heart rate increases and i don t know why. Can you please explain to me what is happening? Thank you
Your symptoms could be related to anemia and low blood pressure. For this reason, I would recommend taking iron supplements and trying to increase salt intake and a lot of fluids in order to stay well hydrated and have a higher blood pressure values. If your situation does not recover after following the above tips, I would recommend checking thyroid hormone levels and performing an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG Holter monitoring.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
