Suggest Treatment For Dizziness, Numbness In Lips And Compromised Vision

My husband has had the following symptoms together on several occasions. Dizziness, faint like (he has to sit down or hold onto something to prevent falling), numbness in lips and disoriented. This is usually accompanied with vision problem as well. is this common and I should not be concerned or should he schedule an appointment to see the doctor soon?

Hi Dear .

Welcome to HCM,

Understanding your concern.As per your query you have dizziness, numbness in lips and compromised vision. The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like sore throat , post nasal drip and sinusitis . Yellow or green mucous usually indicate viral infection I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order tests like nasal endoscopy , nasal or sinus culture and CT scan . Doctor may prescribe nasal or oral corticosteroid , decongestants and antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) . Sometimes doctor may also recommend immunotherapy . For now do nasal saline rinses and take steam to relieve the congestion . Doctor may also refer you to ophthalmologist for eye problem .
