Suggest Treatment For Dizziness, Profuse Sweating And Abdominal Discomfort

I had some sort of episode this morning that was quite abnormal for me. I suddenly became lethargic, disoriented, dizziness almost to the point of fainting, slight abdominal discomfort, then profuse sweating, like I d just gotten out of a sauna. The sweating and disorientation was the worst of the symptoms. I had no tingling, no numbness, no other symptoms than what I have mentioned. I am diabetic and instantly checked my blood sugar which was 169. So it was not low. My A1C at last Dr visit was 5.7.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think this fainting episode was definitely not from hypoglycemia. It may be hypotension episode. It happens during sauna because of losing water while sweating and also from vasodilation that happens from heat.

You should have drunk water instantly and lay down in a cooler place.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
