Suggest Treatment For Drug Addiction During Pregnancy

I am 26 weeks pregnant and have been clean from heroin for almost three weeks and clean from meth for over a month. I have been struggling with my addiction for awhile now but this baby means the world to me already and I am getting the help i need. will any trace of the drugs show up in my babies drug test when she is born?

no, not a bit. This is an easier question than I thought it would be.
Withdrawal from heroin/narcotics is quite dangerous in the first 1-2 weeks due to risk of miscarriage. But if someone is over the acute withdrawal symptoms then this no longer applies. The drugs stay detectable for about 1 week, maybe slightly longer under some circumstances in the stool of the baby, but certainly NOT a month.

Addiction Medicine Specialist Dr. Preeti Parakh's  Response
Hi,

If you manage to stay clean, there is a decent chance that your baby's samples will not test positive. Please continue to remain abstinent and do the best for for yourself and your baby.

Best wishes.
