Suggest Treatment For Dry And Sore Throat

I had an exposure more than a year ago, dont know if partner is +ve. I have dry throat for 3 weeks now. I had fever 3 weeks before, and sore throat started with it. I had also dry cough then. Tests showed Salmonella Tyhhi to be +ve, and doctor suggested I have some allergies, and I am taking allergy medicines for a month now. Fever subsided within days, but dry throat still persists. No cough or pain or anything. Completely normal while eating or drinking liquids. But, I feel like throat is dry and I had to constantly drink liquids or clear my throat.
