Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough And Tickling Sensation In The Throat At Night

I had a cold three weeks ago. It lasted about four days then it went away and a cough showed up. It s going on three weeks and happens mainly at night and starts with a throat tickle that gets worse. I am not coughing up anything anymore. Just a dry hacking cough that never lets me sleep.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome
I would suggest you to drink plenty of water especially warm water. Warm salt water gargaling 3 to 4 times a day. Sucking lozenges like strepsil or cofsil will be beneficial. You can take table spoon of honey with warm water every morning. With this measures your symptoms should reduce.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.
Take care.
