Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough, Headaches And Nasal Drainage

I am having dry coughing, draining nasal headachiness, scratch throat, sneezing. I am wondering if I am contagious and when I can let my boss know I can go back to WRok. The porr tired feeling started yesterday and the rest of symptoms started last night around 9pm.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It seems you have contacted the flu. Yes, it is contagious and it would be advisable to rest for a few days. Meanwhile, you can take an antihistamine like Cetrizine and Benadryl dr syrup to relieve the symptoms. Drink lots of fluids and do warm Betadine gargles. If you have a sore throat then you may have to take an antibiotic course.

If your symptoms are not relieved in two or three days or you develop fever, get yourself checked by a physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma.amman,
