Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough While Having Asthma

My asthma has been bothering me a lot, doc put me on 3 pills prednisone and gave me a shot of asumetrol. I ve been on every allergy medication you can think of and nothing seems to be helping me at this time. Now I am feeling dizzy while sitting or standing up. My throat seems so dry. I just don t know what else I can do to get over this. I have a dry cough, seem like my throat is just dry. What can I take?

Hi,

As per your query dry cough while having asthma is due to respiratory infection and poor immunity only.

I would suggest you take steam 2-3 times a day and drink plenty of fluid. You should do warm saline gargles. If symptoms keep on persisting you should consult ENT specialist once for proper examination and treatment. The doctor may order a blood test or X-ray and may prescribe antibiotics course nasal corticosteroids, antihistamines and decongestant.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
