Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough While Having Atypical Pneumonia

Hi i just had atypical pneumonia for the last 5 weeks. I finished my course of antibiotics, my dry cough is almost gone and there has been no fever for the last week. However, I sometime get nights sweats in the middle of the night and wondering if that is normal?

H,

Residual intermittent fever/night sweats can sometimes occur in persons with a previous history of long term infection. If it continues beyond a 1 to 2 week period or worsens, then you should be assessed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
