Suggest Treatment For Dry Eye Syndrome

My daughter has dry eye syndrome. Her eyes constantly hurt her even with her contacts out. At night when she wakes up to go to the bathroom, she has to put drops in her eyes because she cannot open her eyes. She has seen many doctors and they only want to prescribe a prescription. This condition makes her go to bed early because her eyes and head hurt. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your daughter is having dry eye syndrome. The basic treatment for this is by use of artificial tears eye drops.
The next modes of treatment depend on the severity of the condition. The other modes of treatment which are available are use of punctal plugs, cyclosporine eye drops....

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope the information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
