Suggest Treatment For Dry Flaky Skin On The Face

Hi I have been on medication for a while for moderate acne and my acne has improved a lot, I have a few spots here and there but nothing major and now it is mainly red marks which I have read up about and believe to be hyperpigmenation. I seem to think they re slightly fading which is a positive and I ve noticed a lot of dry flaky skin in the affected areas, is this dry flaky skin a good sign of the skin healing itself?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of dry skin on face, my treatment advice is:

1. Do not scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a vitamin B12 supplement once daily for 3 months.

If the problem persists, then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
